Barefoot, the Brussels startup studio raises 1 million euros

Barefoot, the emerging startup studio, has announced that it has successfully completed a financing round that exceeded one million euros, funds that were raised mainly from Belgian family offices, but also from ING, which is thereby positioning itself in a visionary and bold way in the entrepreneurship sector in Belgium.

Barefoot was founded by Augustin van Rijckevorsel in July 2015, following an initial funding round from early investors Hat Ventures and Sprinkly. Barefoot aims to solve costly problems faced by businesses by providing B2B2C solutions that combine both mobile apps, to facilitate the end-user experience, and web platforms, for centralized management at the enterprise level.

Shortly after, the team expanded following the arrivals of Tanguy Biart and Hugo Mahieu, who left their jobs to become CEO and CFO respectively, and transform the concept into an incubator for innovative businesses.
