87seconds plants its flag in Amsterdam

After Paris, Lyon, Geneva and its headquarters in Brussels, the video communication agency 87seconds is opening an office in Amsterdam. The Belgian company, specializing in video production and strategy, has been active in the Netherlands for some time.

A global study conducted by Cisco proves that by 2020 the majority of internet traffic in Western Europe will be governed by video. As for personal use, 83% of traffic is concerned, and 66% for the professional environment. These percentages were respectively 66% and 40% in 2015. On social networks and in business, communication tends to move towards the video format. It is therefore no coincidence that 87seconds’ activities are becoming international.

“The Netherlands is a leader in Europe when it comes to video. As a player on the European scene, it is therefore logical for us to open offices in the Netherlands,” explains Country Manager Maarten van der Wijden. “In addition, demand in the Netherlands is growing exponentially and we are proud to add Dutch clients such as VolkerWessels, ABN AMRO and Redevco to our portfolio.”

After opening branches in Paris, Lyon and Geneva, 87seconds is now setting up in the heart of Amsterdam in the offices of WeWork Metropool. 87seconds offers a wide range of video services such as 2D and 3D animation, virtual reality, interviews, 360º video, advertising spots and video shoots. In order to guarantee an optimal service, the company has developed an online collaboration tool allowing the client to follow the project from A to Z. The official launch in Amsterdam takes place on September 15 at WeWork Metropool.

“A broad European presence is important to get closer to our customers and better understand their activities, which sometimes extend beyond national borders, as is the case for Michelin, BNP Paribas, Ipsos and others. Amsterdam is an important step for the development of 87seconds, but we will not stop there, as our eyes are already set on Spain and Germany,” concludes Philip Swinnen, Managing Director at 87seconds.
